The title of this long novel, The Club incorrigible optimists 
, foreshadowed a story funny, mischievous and perhaps even a bit romantic. Nay.

Small worries Michel, intellectually precocious teenager but completely asexual, not me little passionate. As to his family, his friends are characters unconvincing, lacking depth. And there
will not mince words: the female figures in this novel are completely missed. It feels no affection for these women (they are mother, sister, friend or girlfriend) who are here stereotyped and unsympathetic. Compared to
Leonid destiny, Werner, Igor, Sasha, Pavel Tibor or who occasionally interspersed, Michel's life is bland, his narrative superfluous.
Because it is their stories that had my attention. Their lives in the East, their passage to the West.
read A novel four-eyes with Canel , without whom this reading would frankly lacked salt.
